OUR STORY

At NENA, fashion isn’t about fitting in it’s about claiming space. About choosing yourself. About wearing your story on your body, without apology.

NENA was born from my obsession with secondhand clothing and transformation. I’ve always seen potential where others see waste a forgotten pair of jeans, a discarded blazer, an old tuxedo waiting to be reborn. Upcycling wasn’t a trend for me; it was instinct.

Before starting NENA, I worked as a commercial director in discount fashion. From the inside, I saw how the industry prioritised speed, volume and profit over creativity, people and the planet. The more successful it became, the further it moved away from everything that once made fashion meaningful to me.

That disconnect became impossible to ignore. So I walked away and built something of my own. NENA is my answer to an industry that forgot its soul. A brand where punk rebellion meets conscious creation. Where garments are not produced, but reconstructed. Where imperfection, raw edges and visible stitches are not flaws, but signatures.

Each NENA piece starts with what already exists: vintage denim, leather, tailoring, discarded garments. Through cutting, pinning, painting and reworking, they are transformed into one-of-a-kind designs that honour individuality, movement and strength. No two pieces are ever the same just like the people who wear them.

NENA is not about trends. It’s about expression over perfection, purpose over mass production, and freedom over expectation. This is fashion for those who refuse to be boxed in.

For the bold. The brave. The beautifully unconventional.

Why the name NENA?

NENA represents a state of being not a label. It stands for a human who lives outside conformity, who moves freely, creates instinctively, and dares to be seen.

Nonconformance - Each NENA piece is one of a kind made to stand out, not blend in.

Extravagant - Bold, expressive and unapologetic. Designed to make you feel powerful in your own skin.

Nomadic - Fluid, genderless and free. Made for movement, not labels.

Avant-garde - Pushing boundaries in design, materials and sustainable practice.
